Gregory Werner, S.M.A.
Lay Missionary, is serving in
Mwanza, Tanzania. One of
his ministries is helping the
Street boys project Upendo
Daima with their Internet
Café, which raises needed
funds. Greg wrote recently:
"
I am currently at the Upendo
Daima Internet Café working
on a program to manage their
computer reservations. This
is not my scheduled day to
be here, but the other days
I teach a class and troubleshoot
their computers so I
found this needed time to
work on setting up this
important program.
I am at the Parish every
day now with my scheduled
Tuition (tutoring) in English,
Math and Computers.
I am helping to coordinate
the Cathechetical program so attend
meetings with the catechists in the Parish. I
enjoy the sports with the Youth. Soccer is
the preferred sport here in Tanzania.
It looks like this week will be pretty busy.
I will be training the S.M.A. seminarians in
Computer. I am getting a chance to hang
out with friends on a daily basis and the
people at the Parish are all very friendly.
I am glad to be here. God is good!" |
