Becoming a Missionary:

SMA Lay Missionary

In 2004, SMA lay missionaries from the American Province joined the international SMA team ministering in Tanzania. They serve in parishes, outstations and in various ministries in response to the needs of the local church.

Secondary School in Didia: Currently, an American SMA.lay missionary teaches high school science in this school, operated by the Salesians of Don Bosco in the rural town of Didia.

Pastoral Ministries in Mwanza: SMA missionaries, who are trained in local African languages, are able to speak with the people in their own language and participate in various pastoral ministries in parishes, particularly youth work, Bible study, home visitations, AIDS outreach, etc.
